President Trump unravels Obama’s climate agenda

In 2015, former President Obama met with world leaders to discuss how to combat “climate change.” Without approval from Congress, Obama agreed to force the U.S. to abide by energy regulations that in reality stifle economic growth and destroy American jobs.

Not only was this agreement costly, but as experts pointed out, there was no true environmental benefit.

Today’s decision puts our economy first and marks another step forward in unraveling Obama’s destructive legacy.

3K reward added for Utah cougar killed, beheaded

Humane Society of Utah adds to reward for the arrest in cougar poaching case

The Humane Society of Utah (HSU) announced that it is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for killing a cougar near the Bonneville Shoreline Trail in Davis County, Utah late April or early May. The HSU hopes the reward assists the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) in obtaining information required to identify and charge the person responsible for the illegal poaching and beheading of this cougar.

“The death of this cougar should have been reported to the DWR if it was killed in self-defense,” said Gene Baierschmidt, HSU executive director. “The fact that the body was left but the head was removed leads us to believe it was killed illegally and needlessly, and therefore, the person responsible needs to be held accountable.”

DWR officer, Krystal Tucker said a bullet was found lodged in one of the animal’s limbs, and the head was cut off with a sharp instrument. The head was not found at the scene.

It is not believed that the cougar was shot by any lawful hunter with a permit for the area.

The Bonneville Shoreline Trail is a popular hiking and biking trail which increases the chance that someone saw or heard something suspicious in the area.

There are no leads in the case at this time. Anyone with information is urged to contact the UTiP hotline at 1-800-662-3337 or send an email to turninapoacher@utah.gov. Tips may remain anonymous.
