At the November Planning Commission meeting, it was approved to send to the City Council the lot line adjustment for the Sean Hart LLC property. This included incorporating the north portion of this lot into Edward Saunders’ property in order to become the site for a new condominium project called the Hart Community Ownership Development. The site is located at 1589 North 750 West and includes 5 separate units with one common area. Each tenant will be responsible for maintaining their own building as well as everyone helping to maintain the common area according to title 57 of the Utah Code. It’s also important to note that boats and trailers will not be allowed to be stored behind the buildings as well as dumpsters not being allowed outside until at least 12 hours before pickup and then put away once the trash has been picked up. There is a possibility of another building being built in the future.

At the December City Council meeting, the Hart Community Ownership Development was approved. Everyone is on board with the new development, including the City attorney.  The Council also addressed issues as far as utilities go and have been in contact with Bona Vista Water who will be responsible for providing water to each unit.

Also at the December City Council Meeting, Harrisville was awarded the business friendly award from the governor’s office. This award means that Harrisville has taken the necessary steps in order to make their city friendlier and accessible towards businesses, which will not only help keep businesses here but also encourages other businesses to check out this great area. Harrisville was able to achieve this in part by having a meeting for local businesses and residents to come and discuss the needs of different businesses, which was a great way to see where improvements could be made
