BOHNES

Premieres Music Video For

"My Friends"

Exclusively On Earmilk

"[Bohnes is...] pushing creative boundaries backed by modern pop hooks

and grungy guitar play." - Earmilk

December 6, 2017 - New York, NY - Bohnes is premiering the exclusive music video for recently released single "My Friends" today with Earmilk. This new solo project from Alex DeLeon (The Cab) has been continuously pushing the boundaries of creativity through music and visual content. The video, shot in over 25 locations in Tokyo, Japan brings the track to life with a visual representation of accepting your demons and truly being yourself. Bohnes shares that "the video represents ostracism of those who are different and is a discussion on the definition of beauty. No matter how bad things are, no matter how dark the clouds are in your mind, or how lonely you feel, there is someone out there looking for someone just like you. You are never alone. Your ugliness is beautiful to someone. You just have to find them." Fans can watch the video today at http://bit.ly/2BOLwv8

Produced by Matt Johnson (Matt and Kim), the track gives listeners grungy guitar hooks with a modern pop beat and catchy drum breaks evident of all of the musical influences of Bohnes. Fans can stream "My Friends" across all digital platforms by heading to https://awal.lnk.to/Acr_W.

Recently, Bohnes released an acoustic version of his first single "Six Feet Under" and the re-imagined track and video garnered great responses from press.  Ones To Watch shared "DeLeon's voice adopts a softer tone in comparison to the more aggressive original that matches perfectly with the minimal instrumentation and emotional quality of the acoustic version and music video." Huffington Post celebrated the project, saying "This new chapter of Deleon's career represents figuring out who you really are while showcases who he is as a musician - authentic, real, and passionate."

Bohnes pulls from influences like Johnny Cash, Rage Against the Machine, Justin Timberlake and Frank Sinatra while maintaining a global focus in every aspect of the project. He has traveled to every continent and has filmed or photographed content in over 65 countries. From his debut music video being shot at an abandoned theme park in Japan and premiered with Entertainment Tonight, this is just the beginning of what is sure to be an incredible journey.

Never in our wildest dreams when we decided to invite a few of our friends on a Tuesday nite to a dive bar in Echo Park to listen to emo and pop punk music, that it would turn into something like this. Thank you guys for building and fostering such a special community. Thank you for growing with us and supporting this thing through all of the different stages this party has gone through. Yesterday only made us more excited for the future of Emo Nite and we couldn't ask for a better family to be on this journey with us."

Emo Nite LA is an event started by three friends (Babs Szabo, T.J. Petracca and Morgan Freed) that brings together people who share the love of emo rock music from the 90's, 2000's, and today.
