The Farr West City Trunk or Treat will be held on the loop behind City Hall.  Please line up your vehicles with trunks towards the curb between 5:30-6:00 p.m.  Trunk or Treating will begin PROMPTLY at 6:00 p.m.  Prizes will be awarded to the best decorated trunks, so GET FESTIVE!!

Because only incumbents filed for office, the Farr West City Municipal Election on November 7, 2017 has been cancelled (Resolution No. 2017). However, all registered voters will still receive a vote by mail ballot approximately three weeks before the election with the Weber School District bond question.  Watch your mail and contact Weber County Elections at 801-399-8034 with any questions.

On October 2nd the Rec Center will be back on winter hours.  Come visit on Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. - 8 p.m., Friday 5:30 a.m. p.m.  Saturday, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.   Boys Basketball registration (third through ninth grades) will be open from October 1 until November 1 Please visit http://farrwestcity.net/ recreation

The Senior Center is open Monday through Wednesday with a variety of different activities center’s Christmas activity with dinner and entertainment.  If you are interested in attending, enter or by contacting 3497.  We welcome all join in the fun each

Form is linked http://farrwestcity.net/…/3…/brick_fundraiser_flyer-2017  While progress is being made on Smith Family Park, we remind residents that the pond is closed to fishing, swimming, or any other activity that disturbs aquatic wildlife, waterfowl, or recently planted vegetation.  We anticipate the pond being open to fishing in Spring 2018.

Farr West City community booth at the Weber County Fair won first place this year.  Mayor Dickemore said he would like to thank my wife, Tamara, and daughter, PeperLeigh, for their help in putting together.

Councilman Burkland: Central Weber Sewer District has voted to maintain the current tax rate for the coming year. This means there will not be a change in billing for services to Farr West City, and therefore change to the sanitary sewer billing for residents.

Councilman Gwynn: The open burn period which typically begins on September 15th and runs through October 30th is currently closed.  Because of current fire and pollution conditions, opening the burn period will not be re-evaluated until October 1st.  Please visit: http://air.utah.gov/OpenBurning/form/index  for more information and updates as they become available.

There are several Up Coming things to mark on your calendar. VETERANS DAY CELEBRATON: Come help celebrate our Veterans on Friday, November 10th at City Hall at 9:00 a.m. with a flag raising ceremony.  Music will be provided by the Fremont High Concert Band.  All Farr West Veterans are encouraged to attend.  Breakfast will be provided to Veterans in attendance after the ceremony.

4th Annual Holiday LIGHTING CELEBRATION will be Monday, November 27, 2017 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall. Please join us for our annual Holiday Lighting Celebration to kick off the holiday season.  Come and enjoy musical selections from Pioneer Elementary and Farr West Elementary. Lighting will commence at 6:00 p.m. with refreshments and a visit from Santa Claus and his elf to follow.

As winter approaches, please keep in mind it is unlawful for any person to park any vehicle on any public street in the city between December 1 and March 1 between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. the following day, or until the street has been plowed after a measurable snowfall.
