Gov. Herbert to appoint Jennifer A. Brown to 4th District Court
SALT LAKE CITY (Dec. 5, 2014) – Gov. Gary R. Herbert has appointed Jennifer A. Brown as a District Court Judge in the 4th District to fill a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Donald J. Eyre.
“I am pleased to appoint Jennifer A. Brown to the 4th District Court,” said Gov. Herbert. “She is a woman of high character whose wisdom and experience will greatly benefit the 4th District.”
Brown is a Partner with the Tesch Law Offices in Park City. She has practiced law as both corporate in-house counsel and associate at various firms in Salt Lake City, including LeBoeuf, Lamb and Chapman and Cutler. Brown was named to Utah’s Legal Elite for Commercial Litigation in 2006, 2008 and 2013.
"I am honored to have received the governor's nomination to the 4th District Court,” said Brown. “I have a great love for the State of Utah and a deep respect for our legal system and the judiciary. I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity."
A cum laude graduate from J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU, Brown has been admitted to the Utah State Bar, Utah Federal District Court, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Northern District of Illinois.
