Plain City—The Plain City Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers have a cabin/museum in the middle of town. It is located on the west side of the Center Church parking lot. The cabin was built in 1860 by John Carver. The Plain City Camp was deeded the cabin many years ago, and have had the responsibility of caring for it and carrying on the legacy left by their pioneer ancestors. The cabin is in need of restoration and they need help in the restoration. The fundraising for this project has been an ongoing since the spring of 2013. They have a long way to go. If you can help, contact Pat Smith, Joyce Weston or Rhea Gregory.
Plain City has been organizing a City youth council. They are in need of teenagers who want to have opportunity to serve the community and gain experience that can be used on future resumes and college applications. Contact LaFray Kelley by email at lafreyk@q.com.
