WASHINGTON – Today, Senator Mike Lee delivered a speech on the Senate floor in opposition to a Democrat-sponsored bill that would empower the federal government to coerce employers of all faiths into violating their deepest personal convictions. The poorly titled “Protect Women’s Health from Corporate Interference Act” would greatly restrict Americans’ religious liberties within the narrow confines of the Democratic Party’s partisan agenda and the whims of politicians and bureaucrats.
“Under this bill, your religious liberties stop at the doorstep of the Democratic National Committee.”
