This is to notify you that we had a Lock-Out procedure in place at Farr West Elementary for about 30 minutes this morning at the request of the Weber County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities were in pursuit of a suspect who had been traced to the area. The suspect was apprehended by the Sheriff’s Department by approximately 8:30 a.m. and at that time, under the Sheriff’s direction, the Lock-Out was lifted. Teachers were informed of the reason for the Lock-Out and assured that this was a precautionary measure to insure the safety of all students.
We appreciate the quick action of the Sheriff’s Department and their concern for the safety of our students. We also appreciate your cooperation and that of our students and staff.
