Special Olympics Utah and Utah's Law Enforcement

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - Jan. 28, 2015 - The Cache Valley Polar Plunge on Saturday, January 31, will be held at Hyrum Reservoir and is the kickoff event for Special Olympics Utah's 2015 Polar Plunge season supported by Utah's Law Enforcement.

Anyone with a little guts and a warm heart who wants to support Special Olympics

Utah athletes is welcome to take the plunge individually or with a team. In past years, plungers have included students, mayors, police chefs, sheriffs, deputies, corporations, organizations, clubs, families and co-workers, among others. In 2014, more than 1,000 people took the plunge for Special Olympics Utah. Those who want to participate but don't want to take the plunge can donate to join the Chicken Coop.

The Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations and businesses to support Special Olympics Utah athletes by raising money to jump into frigid water. Participants must raise a minimum of $50 to plunge, and there are additional incentives for plungers and teams who raise even more money.
