Utah 1033 Foundation Appoints New Executive Director, Expands Board of Directors with Newest Member

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah 1033 Foundation recently announced the hiring of Bridgett Tasker as new executive director, and the appointment of former Layton City chief of police Terry Keefe to its Board of Directors.

“We are thrilled to welcome these two dynamic civic leaders to The Utah 1033 Foundation,” said Tore Steen, co-founder of The Utah 1033 Foundation. “Their broad experience will add a valuable new prospective to the Foundation and we look forward to benefitting from their acumen and energy in 2015.”

Tasker brings more than 10 years of nonprofit leadership experience to the Foundation. She has a strong track record of directing national and international campaigns for numerous local organizations, and is an experienced grants administrator for law enforcement and military fundraising. Tasker is a member of the Leadership Northern Academy and was awarded the Women in Grace Community Leadership Award in 2013.

Former Layton City chief of police Terry Keefe’s appointment expands the Board to four directors. Keefe is a forty year veteran of law enforcement and started his career in 1974 with the Clearfield City Police department. He then joined West Valley Police in 1980 where he served in every division of the department including several years as commander of the S.W.A.T. team and Salt Lake Metro Major Felony Unit.

Keefe has twice served as president of the Utah Chiefs of Police Association, and Governor Herbert appointed Keefe to the P.O.S.T. Council, the State Interoperability Executive Committee and the State Information Analysis Center where he currently serves as an executive board member.
