Thousands filled the Tabernacle and other locations on Temple Square in Salt Lake City on Friday, July 10, 2015, for the funeral of President Boyd K. Packer of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Thousands more around the world watched a live broadcast of the service. Full Story
The title of the 2004 exhibit at the Museum of Church History and Art was “Lifework of an Amateur Artist,” but one walking through the displays showing intricately carved sculptures of birds and flowers glimpsed something much more. The lifelike woodcarvings and paintings revealed a man, in President Boyd K. Packer, with a deep respect for nature and an understanding of God’s creations. Full Story
