SHRINERS HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN HOSTS SPIRIT OF CHILDREN HALLOWEEN PARTY
Media are invited to capture photos/videos and interview children, their families, hospital staff and Spirit of Children representatives about the festive day.
WHAT: Spirit of Children, the charitable arm of Spirit Halloween, is making hospitals less scary for children and their families. Shriners Hospital for Children will be hosting a Halloween party for pediatric patients; bringing costumes, decorations and other Halloween goodies to ensure children in long-term hospital care get to enjoy Halloween.
WHY: Spirit of Children is committed to raising funds year-round for Child Life departments in hospitals across the United States and Canada. Founded in 2006, the program has raised over $22 million with a goal of $6.7 million more in 2015. This Halloween, Spirit of Children will host 86 Halloween events nationwide, bringing smiles to children across the country and raising awareness for the philanthropic initiative.
