A student at our school has undertaken the task of collecting used jeans for homeless youth. Below is her letter asking for donations. If you would like to participate, we support her efforts.
Susan Sweet, Principal
Wahlquist Jr. High School
Dear fellow students:
My names is Armani and I am a seventh grade student at Wahlquist Jr. High School. I am currently hosting a Jean Drive for the homeless working through an organization located at dosomething.org
Over a million young people experience homelessness in the United Stat4es every year and one of the most requested items that young people in homeless shelters ask for is a pair of jeans. You can support this drive by donating gently used denim of all sizes. The jeans may be dropped off at school until February 17, 2016.
Thank you for your help—
Armani McFarland
What’s for Lunch?
School breakfast and lunch menus are now available electronically. In an effort to conserve resources, printed menus will no longer be sent home each month.
The menu can be viewed on the Weber School District website at www.wsd.net. Look for the quick link "Lunch Menu" at the bottom right of the homepage.
