Notice is hereby given that the North View Fire District will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 315 E. 2550 N. North Ogden, Utah at 5:00 p.m., or as soon as the agenda permits, to receive public comments on:
1) Amending the Fiscal Year Budget 2016-2017:
2) Consider the adoption of the Final Fiscal Year Budget for 2017-2018.

A copy of the tentative 2017-2018 Fiscal Year Budget is on file for public inspection in the office of the District Clerk 315 East 2550 North, North Ogden, Utah North View Fire District Station 21.

At the above time and place any interested person or persons in attendance shall be given an opportunity to be heard for or against the tentative budget.

Author and former NASA Scientist, Dr. Phil Plait, to examine what happens “When the Moon Eats the Sun”

 

Salt Lake City, UT – In celebration of, and preparation for, the upcoming Great American Solar Eclipse on August 21st, 2017, Clark Planetarium will host author and former NASA Scientist Dr. Phil Plait. Dr. Plait is a well-known debunker of space science myths, and is the author of two books, “Bad Astronomy: Misconceptions and Misuses Revealed, from Astrology to the Moon Landing ‘Hoax’” and “Death From the Skies! These are the Ways the World Will End.” He is also the author of the internet’s most popular science blog, “Bad Astronomy,” at http://www.blastr.com/tags/bad-astronomy, Dr. Plait will be the keynote speaker at Clark Planetarium’s Through the Looking Glass: Great American Total Solar Eclipse Gala on Thursday, June 15th, 2017, and will be available for media interviews earlier in the day between 1:30pm – 4:30pm.

Attendees of the gala will be treated to foods and experiences straight out of Wonderland while helping Clark Planetarium to raise funds for its education programs, which serve more than 100,000 Utah schoolchildren each year.
