Stories of Police Violence

Expert Speakers and Victims of Police Violence Gather for Presentation and Sharing of

Stories

Salt Lake City, UT: On September 5, 2015 No More Tears will host a gathering of prominent

community speakers and families of victims of police violence to share the stories of those who have

died or been gravely affected by this violence. Speakers include William Lawrence as his “Peace

Officer’’ documentary debuts the topic of police militarization through festivals and nationwide

screenings, ACLU, Rocky Anderson, Andrew Mccullough, and families of the victims Danielle Willard,

Dillon Taylor, Darrien Hunt, Corey Kanosh, and more. Last year’s gathering attracted an attendance of

over 300, reflecting the degree to which Utah has locally suffered from what is now recognized as

nationwide problem. An open mic will be made available following the scheduled speakers and families

of victims. Attending will be:
