RIT/NTID offers Health Care Careers Exploration Camp for deaf and hard-of-hearing students, July 26–31
High school students interested in healthcare careers are encouraged to apply        

Deaf and hard-of-hearing high-school students entering 10th, 11th and 12th grades in the fall and who are interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare industry are encouraged to attend the new Health Care Careers Exploration Camp at Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf, July 26–31.

The camp is designed to help students explore a range of career options in the healthcare field and learn about important issues in today’s healthcare arena. Students will visit area medical facilities, see medical procedures and participate in hands-on demonstrations in biology, exercise science, medical laboratory science, microbiology, nursing and nutrition. Students will also become CPR/First Aid certified. Camp classes are taught in English and sign language.

Tuition is $700 per student and includes lodging on the RIT campus, meals and educational and recreational activities. Limited scholarships are available based on financial need. The application deadline is May 31.
