Sun, Feb 24: KUED Kids Writers and Illustrators Contest  The KUED PBS KIDS Writers Contest, in partnership with Natural History Museum of Utah, is for kids kindergarten through sixth grade. Send us your SPACE themed story to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. Stories can be fact or fiction – as long as they are on our theme of SPACE! Stories are accepted now through April 15th. Winners will be announced in May and will enjoy a day with their families at the Natural History Museum of Utah, have their stories published online, and get to participate in a traveling art exhibit hosted by the Utah Division of Arts and Museums!

Sun, Feb 24: Swaner's Craft Sunday Bring your crafty kids to Swaner's Craft Sunday! Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter will offer a nature-themed craft every Sunday from 11 am to 1 pm. All ages are welcome!

Sat, Feb 23: Bug Brigade at NHMU at Natural History Museum of Utah Twice a month we offer visitors an opportunity to observe and handle live bugs to learn about these arthropods' anatomy, behavior and important ecological roles. Bug Brigade occurs on every second and fourth Saturday of the month from 2 pm-4 pm.

Participating locations encourage kids, ages 4 to 9, to come try youth hockey as part of Hockey Week Across America. All locations will have limited equipment available for use.
