During the Brigham City Museum’s Plein Air Exhibition, every corner visitors turn in the gallery they will experience the immensity and power of Utah’s landscapes. The scenic paintings will be on display Sept. 8 through Nov. 3. Admission is free.

American Spirit Project

When the American Spirit Project offered cash awards and recognition to local youth city councils in North Ogden and Pleasant View as well as to readers of Connection Magazines, the challenge was accepted. Awards would go to whomever presented the best case for deserving Honoree recognition and included a $200 cash award. Naomi Elmer was the winner from the North Ogden YCC, and Grant Knight was the winner from the Pleasant View YCC. The honoree Award for Connection Magazine readers went to Emma Flattery, a senior at Weber High School.

We wanted to make you aware of how Wahlquist used our Trustlands allotment. The Trustlands program was set up to help fund schools using funds received for the use of designated public lands. This funding has been a huge help in creating the educational opportunities in which our students are able to experience.

US-89 Construction - South Willard to Perry

UDOT will begin construction on US-89 from approximately 9100 South in Willard to 3000 South in Perry on September 10. This project will perform an asphalt overlay to extend the life of the existing pavement and install a new traffic signal at 750 North in Willard. Construction will be completed by the end of 2018.

Red Cross urges blood donations, offers donors free Sport Clips haircut this September

 

“With Sport Clips, the Red Cross and St. Baldrick’s joining forces during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we hope to spread the word about the importance of blood donations, especially for children fighting cancer,” said Amanda Palm, communications manager for Sport Clips. “Offering a free haircut is our way of saying thank you to blood donors everywhere.”
