PUBLIC HEARING COME HELP WILLARD AND SOUTH WILLARD

Only one week and one day until the public hearing on the re-zone request on the South end of town. If you care about our small town even in the least bit, please plan on attending that public hearing. I don't care if you are for or against this re-zone request, I'd just like to see an outpouring of interest to show our city officials that we care. The public hearing is 6:30 on March 8 at the city building. Spread the word to neighbors and friends!

Willard/ South Willard News Updates

Residents of South Willard and Willard, there have been recent complaints of missing mail from mail boxes. Why? Who?  They  seem to be targeting certain people or areas, whether it be foul play, jokes or a possible federal offense. This is happening to fellow citizens of our community. We need to be watchful of our neighbor’s mail and package delivery. There is a place to sign up for informed USPS delivery. You get an email everyday showing pictures of the mail you are supposed to receive that day. If anything is missing, there is a link to report it.

FrontRunner

PLEASANT VIEW — FrontRunner commuter rail service to Pleasant View, with the lowest ridership in the Utah Transit Authority system, will indefinitely end in August.

The plans stem from federal rules requiring implementation of increased safety measures on commuter and freight trains and tracks by December. The cost to upgrade trains using the line north of the Ogden FrontRunner station to Pleasant View, owned by Union Pacific Railroad, would be prohibitive, thus officials opted to halt service to Pleasant View instead.

COMMUNITY LENDING A HELPING HAND FOR LEARNING

Providing the right resources that help students learn in our elementary schools is a challenge that deserves our help. North Ogden Kiwanis Club members have had this as a major goal for the past 15 years. Kiwanis is an international organization whose main objective is to serve and is focused on helping the youth. The local club has been doing just that for the past 72 years in a wide range of projects that include support for individual needs as well as support for several local schools.
