Parents and Students,

We will be conducting our first mandatory fire drill tomorrow at 10:00. This required drill needs to be done in the first 10 days of school. We just wanted everyone to be aware. Office staff will be assisting with the drill and will not be available to help you during this drill. Thank you for your patience as we take care of this safety issue.

EAGLES,

WE ARE SO EXCITED TO START SCHOOL TOMORROW. TEACHERS HAVE SPENT MUCH OF THEIR SUMMERS PREPARING FOR YOU TO COME BACK. CUSTODIANS HAVE DONE A FANTASTIC JOB GETTING THE SCHOOL READY. THIS IS GOING TO BE AN AMAZING YEAR. WE ARE EAGER FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO GO ONE-TO-ONE WITH OUR CHROMEBOOKS. STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE CHROMEBOOKS IN THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF SCHOOL. MAKE SURE THAT YOU BRING THEM CHARGED EVERY DAY. YOU WILL BE USING THEM IN EVERY CLASS.

On August 2, Mayor Dickemore introduced Chief Paul Sullivan to the city, Chief Sullivan is the New Weber Fire District Chief.

Boyd Ferrin said that the seven small pavilions were delivered, and are being installed. Boyd also reported that the tables for the Fishing Pond Bowery were also delivered and will be set up soon. Boyd also commented many people are fishing and using the park. Boyd stated that an official opening will occur in September.

We have a few new business to tell you about in Farr West.  Jordan Grange & Addison Jayne are starting an online retail store.

One final attempt to remind everyone of our Back-to-School Night tonight. Teachers will be available from 3:00 to 6:30. We would love to see everyone.

Walquist Junior High

There has been a few problems down at Smith Park. As we are all aware the park is not completed yet but the city has opened parts up for our use. With that we all need to do our part in keeping it clean watching the kids not to distroy the park including throwing dirt and leaving a mess for others. But here the high note the kids have been having a great time fishing at the pond.
