Dear Parents, 

After receiving feedback from community, staff, and students, it has become necessary to put additional safeguards in our parking lot to help with drop off and pick up in our parking lot. We have had children running across the parking lot, cars blocking other cars getting in and out, and the flow of cars slowing down drastically as they wait for cars to move.  

Just a reminder that we have early out this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 1:05 for parent teacher conferences. Kindergarten will not have school on Friday. 
If you have not signed up for an appointment with your child's teacher, please do so. Thisis a great time to get a mid-year update on your child's progress. If you are unsure how to get online and make an appointment, please call our office at 801-452-4580 for assistance.

Children who will be five years of age before September 2, 2019 are about to embark on a wonderful, exciting adventure.  At this time, we are conducting a survey of our school community to locate our incoming kindergarten students.

If you have a child eligible for kindergarten, would you fill out  the following attached information and return it to Bates Elementary by February 8, 2019.

Also, please feel free to forward this email to anyone you may know who may have an incoming Kindergartener for the 2019-2020 school year.
