Find water, use decoys

Utah’s dove hunt opens Sept. 1

If you find a watering hole, the chance you’ll take doves during Utah’s upcoming dove hunt should go way up this year. Blair Stringham says bone dry conditions in the state make finding a watering hole more important than ever.

Once you’ve found a watering hole—or a field doves are feeding in—Stringham, migratory game bird coordinator for the Division of Wildlife Resources, says you should wear camouflage and place dove decoys in a place where they can be easily seen.

Utah Solar Calls Are a Scam

We can all relate to getting sales calls that we don’t want. They can be annoying and inconvenient.  At one point you may have had interest, but not after 50 calls in one day.

8*16*2018 - Next Move, Closeout all Opposition Media?

Conservative outlets are aflame with what appears to be Internet giants Facebook, Google and Twitter’s intentional move to closeout conservative viewpoints on their platforms. This is significant because the big five Internet companies collective worth is estimated to be about $4 Trillion, a total that places them above the GDP of nearly all countries.  Since they are the major vehicles through which all information is disseminated globally, should they succumb to a collective political view they could control the world.  If conservatives are correct this may be in progress.

8*14*2018 -New Anti-Fracking Study Combines Old News and Flawed Science

Two environmentalist groups just released a scathing report which concluded that "fracking" -- a technique for extracting oil and natural gas from underground shale rock formations -- poses an unacceptable threat to human health.

The report is deeply flawed. It doesn't offer any original research. It simply compiles previously-published news stories, health reports, and academic papers, most of which have long since been debunked as biased.

8*13*2018 - How to have more time

There’s one thing this year, and every year, that most of us would love to have more of. No, not money. That would be nice too, but that’s not it.

Time.

When you think about it, you can get more of almost anything you want in life. If you want more money, you can earn it. If you want more stuff, you can buy it. If you want more friends, you can find them. Heck, even hair can be substituted with implants, wigs or extensions!

8*12*2018 - Dave says

Dear Dave,

My wife and I are not on the same page when it comes to money and our two teenage daughters. I think they should be learning the value of work and money, but she doesn’t want them to work. She regularly hands them spending money and buys them expensive gifts. I want our girls to have some nice things, but this is starting to cause problems in our relationship. Do you have any advice?

Stan

Dear Stan,

Lead source companies sell the same lead to a couple of companies. These companies are not told who has already contacted you. Before you get upset, ask for the name of the solar company that is calling you.

Feel free to throw your fiery darts of indignation if the company is the same one you asked to stop calling.  Keep in mind though that a different rep from the same company may have called on accident. Keeping track of who has contacted you will help you decipher the honest from the snake oil salesmen.
