Donors of all blood types urged to give in the coming weeks
(Dec. 20, 2016) — As freezing temperatures and harsh weather grip much of the nation, the American Red Cross urges eligible donors to make an appointment to give blood or platelets to help meet the constant need for blood this winter.
Some people will sign up for gym memberships and then stop going by mid-January. Others will promise to clean up their debt — until the first credit card bill from Christmas comes in. Still more will pledge to get a new job, and never search online or look through the want ads.
