Urgent Need: Red Cross blood donation opportunities Feb. 16-28

Donors urgently needed to increase Red Cross blood supply

(Feb. 2, 2017) – The American Red Cross urgently needs blood donors to make an appointment to give this winter so that patients can continue to receive lifesaving treatments.

Michael Harper knows how critical it is to have a readily available blood supply. “I used over 300 units of blood when I was younger after an auto accident. Blood donations helped save my life,” he said. “Now, I would like to donate as much or more than I have received.”

North Ogden Skate Park to be Relocated

A great deal of thought and research has gone into the discussion and relocation of the new North Ogden Skate Park. Several council meetings, as well, have been the focus.

Mayor Taylor, of North Ogden, conducted a poll on Facebook, in which he asked the community where their choice of a new skate park should be. The poll was not a vote to decide the location, but rather, five City Council members were chosen as representatives of the people and they took the final vote. The two choices narrowed down to Wadman Park or the North Ogden Park.
