Lawmakers moving to 'unwind' USTAR

USTAR, an at-times controversial high tech public/private development program mainly located at the University of Utah and Utah State University, will be restructured and partially defunded in a bill soon to hit the Legislature.

Secretary Perdue Statement on Confirmation of Bill Northey for Key USDA Post

(Washington, D.C., February 27, 2018) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue today applauded the Senate’s long-awaited confirmation of Bill Northey to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Northey will serve as Under Secretary for Farm and Foreign Agricultural Service (FFAS)*.

Perdue issued the following statement:

Weber County Files Charges of Forgery and Violation of Petition Procedures Against Two Individuals Gathering Signatures in Statewide Initiative Packets. 

Weber County- Weber County Attorney Chris Allred filed charges against two individuals for forgery and violations of petition procedures under Utah’s election code on February 22, 2018.
