Earlier today, the Senate took an important first step to begin debate on repealing and replacing Obamacare.

Now, the Senate can move forward this week on their seven-year long promise to repeal and ultimately replace Obamacare.

The event featured products from around the state of Utah and served to highlight Utah businesses. It was held as a Pioneer Day celebration for members of the Utah delegation and Utahns living in or visiting Washington, DC.

“If you support the larger effort to repeal and replace Obamacare, you should at the very least want to have a debate on this bill. Under the rules we’ll have an open amendment process, members will get a chance to have their preferences known and to have the Senate vote on them. Taking that opportunity is the very least we can do.”

July 1 Cattle Inventory Up 4 Percent from 2015 

All cattle and calves in the United States, as of July 1, 2017, totaled 103 million head. This is 4 percent above the 98.2 million head on July 1, 2015.  

All cows and heifers that have calved, at 41.9 million head, are 5 percent above the 39.8 million head on July 1, 2015. Beef cows, at 32.5 million head, are up 7 percent from two years ago. Milk cows, at 9.40 million head, are up 1 percent from 2015.  

Congressional Republicans promised to repeal Obamacare for seven years. Now is not the time for excuses. President Trump is in the White House and ready to sign a bill that would begin delivering on those promises.

Tomorrow, Senate Republicans will cast a key procedural vote to begin debate on repealing and replacing Obamacare.
