I hope you are enjoying the first day of Spring Break. PTA is still seeking any individuals interested in serving on the PTA Board for the 2019-2020 school year. 

Postions on the PTA Board include: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Reflections chair. 

If you are interested in serving on the board, please send an email to batsptaboard@gmail.com by noon, April 1st---no this isn't an April Fool's Day joke :) If more than one person is interested in a position, we will hold an election. 

We are working to finalize the pages in the yearbook for events that have already happened, as well as for grade section photos. Please use the upload link in the email to send in your photos for possible inclusion in the yearbook. We would love to include as many students as possible in the events, but to do this we NEED you to send us photos (and/or videos!).

​Leagues and Divisions

Players should register for their current school year. Child must be 5 years old by September 1st of the current year.

T-Ball - Most T-Ball players are currently in Kindergarten or will be starting in August. T-Ball is co-ed. Soft baseballs are used and score is not kept.

Calling all Rocket Scientists! We are so excited to officially announce a STEM Night at Bates! YOU MUST REGISTER BY MARCH 25TH TO RECEIVE A SCIENCE KIT!!! Come learn to make a rocket, see elephant toothpaste erupt like a volcano, participate in experiments & labs… and SO much more!!! We will also be having the BOGO event for the Book Fair that night so after you have fun with STEM you can also pick up a few books before heading home! It’s sure to be a night of fun for the whole family! We hope to see you there.

Armani McFarland of Farr West, a sophomore at Weber High School, will be presented with an engraved silver medallion to recognize her selection by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards as one of Utah’s top two youth volunteers of 2019. Caleb O’Neill of Odgen, a senior at Weber High School, will be presented with an engraved bronze medallion to recognize his selection as a Utah Distinguished Finalist by the awards program.

Just a reminder of our Chinese Immersion meeting for incoming 1st graders. It iwll be held tonight, Monday, March 11 from 5:30-6:30 in our library.

The purpose of this meeting is to inform parents about our dual immersion program, the registration and changes in selection process, requirements, deadlines, and to answer any questions that you may have. Even if you have attended the meeting previously, please attend for new information regarding the selection process. 

We have some leftover candy bars from our fundraiser that we will be selling after school tomorrow. We are so excited to offer these delicious chocolates for $1/bar.  While supplies last!
