ODAY: Secretary Perdue and USDA Officials to Hold Press Call Regarding Assistance for Farmers Impacted by Unjustified Retaliation

(Washington, D.C., August 27, 2018) – Today, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue; U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Undersecretaries Greg Ibach, Ted McKinney, and Bill Northey; and other USDA staff will hold an off-camera, on-the-record briefing regarding USDA’s specific plans to assist farmers in response to trade damage from unjustified retaliation by foreign nations. 

This Labor Day (Monday, September 3), first responders in your area will be recognized for their hard work. 

All of Olive Garden’s 850 restaurants nationwide – including the ones in your area – will deliver and serve a special “thank you” lunch to a first responder organization in their community. This is the situation many severely injured veterans find themselves in today. Amazingly, it's what the VA's own rules direct the agency to do.

These rules are called standards of care. And they're woefully inadequate for veterans with catastrophic service-related disabilities.
