“We the People”

Weber County is a great place to live and raise a family where strong values create a great quality of life.  We can truly say that the pioneer heritage of early settlers has been passed down and is reflected in our conservative, hard-working, service-oriented culture.  To residents of Weber County, “We the People . . .” is more than a preamble; it is a declaration of our unity.

We are presently facing decisions that could markedly change the face of our State and County.  A select few are pushing to eliminate the method we have chosen to select party candidates and suggesting we change our form of county government, effectively empowering the select.

To each of us “Fiscal conservative principles” is more than a slogan to garner votes; rather these principles strengthen private industry and personal freedoms and lead to smaller, less intrusive government. This fundamental belief is rooted in an individual’s liberty to exercise one’s rights over one’s property.

This country was founded on a belief that people are intelligent and responsible enough to govern themselves with little intrusion by government. Responsible representation and principled leadership respect this belief and encourage open and transparent decision making.

It is time for each of us to be actively engaged in our government.  There is a movement to eliminate the grassroots connection to our elected officials.  Fiscal conservative values are slowly diminishing as bonds and tax increases result from special interest projects and responsible representation is not always taking place.  We need to hold our elected officials accountable for their actions!  If we wish to preserve our conservative principles and values, we have to be actively engaged.

If you believe in the grassroots caucus system, fiscal conservative principles, responsible representation, and principled leadership get involved.  Support those elected officials and candidates that represent your values and work on changing those that don’t.

I ask for your support
