Perry - The I-15/1100 South interchange reconstruction project was officially completed and opened on September 16th. The diverging diamond on/off ramp allows traffic to move more freely at what was a difficult intersection at times when traffic flows increased. The project was finished a month early at a total cost of $14 million. The new interchange is designed to give drivers no more than approximately one minute of wait time before the light cycles. Previously, southbound traffic waiting to turn eastbound on I-91 toward Sardine Canyon could find themselves waiting for several minutes while waiting for a safe chance to enter traffic.

In August, Mayor Karen Cronin released a list of facts about the Utopia/Macquarie that explains important information for citizens to know. It can be found at perrycity.org.

Heritage Theater will host the play, "It's a Wonderful Life" from November 28-December 20 with shows on Monday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7:30, and a matinee on Saturdays at 2:00 PM. Details and ticket purchases can be found at heritagetheatreutah.com.

Perry residents who failed to "opt out" of the new can recycling option before the end of September deadline will have to wait until September 2015 to have another chance. Until then, the price of the can recycling ($5.80/month) will be added to their bill.
