Willard—The Willard 6th Ward Young Women and Young Men held a coat drive for local charities. The ward was asked that if they had any gently used coats that were no longer needed the youth would be around to pick them up on October 8th. Kristi Moultrie Hone said they had 37 coats donated that they in turn donated to the New Hope Crisis Center in Brigham City. The kids are learning that not everyone has a warm coat to wear. Hopefully, it will inspire the youth to look for other ways to help those less fortunate.
There have been two new wards that have been made in the stake. We have Three Mile Creek in the Perry area, and Maguire Canyon, which use to be Willard 5th ward. The boundary line for Willard 5th Ward is now everything west of Highway 89, from the Stake center north to 7825. They will be meeting at the Stake center at 1 pm. They welcome Glenn Larsen as bishop, Allan Shinney as 1st counselor, and Kyle Price as 2nd counselor. The 6th Ward boundary is 7825 south going north to the backyards of 7300 South Highway 89 as the top border. They will meet in the church that is east of Highway 89 at 11 am. The 6th Ward welcomes Nate Abney as bishop, Troy Stevenson as 1st counselor and Drew Laing as 2nd counselor.
