Right to keep and bear arms

Utah has a tremendous opportunity right now to attract gun businesses from across the nation to move to our great State, where they can manufacture and sell their products without threat of government interference.

This would be a huge benefit to our already growing and prosperous economy... bringing thousands of new jobs and lots of additional tax revenue.  Governor Herbert has the opportunity of sending a clear message to companies like Magpul in Colorado, Beretta in Maryland, Remington & Kimber in New York, Wilson, Sturm Ruger, Colt, Mossberg & Stag Arms in Connecticut, Springfield Armory in Massachusetts, and Armalite & Rock River Arms in Illinois... that Utah is a gun-friendly State and we would welcome them with open "arms" (pardon the pun).

Bills (HB76, HB114, though unfortunately watered down) have been passed by the Utah Congress and are now going to the Governor to be signed into law.

If he wavers or vetoes these, we can kiss the opportunity goodbye as it will scare all potential gun businesses away.

If these companies were approached by Utah with very favorable terms and a supportive climate, they might consider moving here, helping us grow even more.

It would boost our economy and make our State safer--- as loosening of gun restrictions, with consequently more guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens, always results in lower violent crime rates.

We should be strong supporters of our God-given, fundamental, natural, constitutionally-protected, unalienable right to keep and bear arms!

Our State (home of John Moses Browning) would be a perfect venue for these gun makers and weapon parts manufacturers to resettle.

Let's encourage them to come here by signing these laws into effect with enthusiasm!  We hope Governor Herbert is listening.
