I can sympathize with children over the tragic deaths from a school shooter.
But demanding that "something" be done is akin to demanding a law that says "everyone must be good." It's not so simple.
The intent is noble, the reality of any new law specifically preventing shootings... not very realistic.
3200 people are killed by Illegal Aliens on America's highways every year. That's 9 "every day." And many of those are children.
That number is vastly higher than school shooting deaths, so where's the outrage over that? It is a problem that does have a simple solution, but is not politically correct.
Let's be practical and realistic in the challenge of preventing future tragedies.
