Fall is on its way!  When I think of Fall, one thing that pops into my head is pumpkins and crunchy leaves.  Crisp nights and cooler mornings.  Jackets and shoes again—no more bare feet!  And, of course the aroma of something baking in the oven!

With that I’d like to share some favorite fall recipes.

First of all: Fresh Peach Pie!

I am a big fan of Mel’s Kitchen Café and ALL of her recipes are divine! Mel is a busy mother of 5 living in Idaho. She is definitely making her way into many kitchens in the world!  I have tried nearly all of her recipes and have been pleased with the outcome.  Mel also gives you a weekly meal plan every Friday so you can reduce the amount of time you’re spending on a grocery list and preparation.

My family enjoys them, too!  So, when my peaches were ripe on my backyard tree, I knew I needed to make a pie.  Don’t be too worried about the crust either!  Mel outlines a step-by-step process to guide you along and even has a short video you can also follow along and watch as you make the crust.

If you go to www.melskitchencafe.com and look up fresh peach pie it will tell you everything you need to know! Plus, there are hundreds of other amazing fall recipes too! Get your family around the table! Delicious!

Next, warm homemade bread!

I also love to follow the Food Nanny! This is a mother and daughter duo who are absolutely darling to watch.  They love each other and they love food!  Liz Edmunds and Lizi Heaps both feel strongly about the importance of dinnertime being the most important meal of the day because we are spending it with our

families.  They want to help us take the stress out of cooking and baking. Their meal plans are easily adaptable for any family.  Plus, they give you a 2-week menu plan filled with the recipes Liz Edmunds has created in her two cookbooks: The Food Nanny Rescues Dinner: Easy Family Meals for Everyday of the Week and The Food Nanny Rescues Dinner: Again!

If you go to www.thefoodnanny.com you will find all of their recipes! I am just highlighting their bread but you can see for yourself just how many other options there are to try in your own kitchen!

If you scroll down to where it says: “Other Categories” you will then click on the word “Bread.”  This particular bread is called White Kamut Wheat Bread and makes 2 loaves.  What is Kamut you ask?  It is an ancient Egyptian grain that makes everything taste that much better!  I have purchased some of the Kamut myself and it is WONDERFUL!  You can order Kamut on their website under “shop.”

Another place to look for many fresh and new recipe ideas is by going to www.studio5.ksl.com You will find some amazing recipes, including a recent one titled “Homemade Pasta Sauce from Your Own Vegetable Garden”

This recipe is from Chef Nettie Franks.  I enjoy learning about new ideas from different chefs and even everyday people from Studio 5.  A great resource for Fall recipes!

So now you have no excuse!  Go check out one of these 3 websites and get making and baking in the kitchen!
