Nominees announced for 3rd District Court vacancy

SALT LAKE CITY – The 3rd District Judicial Nominating Commission has selected nominees for a vacancy on the 3rd District Court.  The vacancy results from the confirmation of Judge Paige Petersen to the Utah Supreme Court, November 15, 2017. The 3rd Judicial District includes Salt Lake, Summit and Tooele counties.  

The nominees for the vacancy are: Rod Andreason, shareholder, Kirton McConkie; Chelsea Koch, attorney, A. Chelsea Koch PC; Richard Mrazik, attorney, Parsons Behle & Latimer; Margaret Plane, city attorney, Salt Lake City Corporation; Scott Young, attorney, Snow, Christensen & Martineau.

Written comments can be submitted to the 3rd District Judicial Nominating Commission at judicialvacancies@utah.gov or Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice, P.O. Box 142330, Salt Lake City, UT 84114-2330.  The deadline for written comments is noon March 27, 2018. The Nominating Commission may request further information or conduct an investigation of the nominees after reviewing public comments.  After the public comment period, the names will be sent to Gov. Gary R. Herbert, who will have 30 days to make an appointment. Gov. Herbert’s appointee is subject to confirmation by the Utah Senate.

Neck Deep To Appear on 'Last Call with Carson Daly

March 16, 2018 - Neck Deep will be making their Late Night TV debut on an upcoming episode of Last Call with Carson Daly. The episode was filmed in Hollywood, CA at The Fonda Theatre, where the band rocked a sold out show, wrapping up the North American Leg of "The Peace and The Panic" World Tour. The episode will air late night Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 1:35 AM (12:35AM Central) following Late Night with Seth Meyers on NBC.

 

Currently in its 16th season on NBC, "Last Call with Carson Daly" continues to push the boundaries of late-night television. Host Carson Daly introduces his audience to the emerging artists and stories you simply won't find anywhere else. "Last Call with Carson Daly" is produced by Universal Television.

 

Neck Deep's successful World Tour is celebrating their recently released album, The Peace and The Panic. The 11-track album, produced by Mike Green (Pierce The Veil, Paramore), is a meditation on the constant duality of life and the struggles that come with it. FBI official Andrew McCabe, hoping to retire, asks Justice Dept. not to fire him

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe on Thursday is expected to make a final pitch to the Justice Department about why he should not be fired just 72 hours before his retirement, leaving Attorney General Jeff Sessions to decide the matter with a deadline rapidly approaching. McCabe arrived at the Justice Department about 1 p.m. He is not meeting with Sessions, who was traveling Thursday, but with other senior officials, including Scott Schools, the most senior career attorney in the department.
