Is your house lost?  Now is a good time to drive by your house and see how easy it is to spot the house numbers. House numbers need to be easy to read. This could mean critical timing for emergency response. Even today’s technology can be wrong. Easy to read house numbers also help with pizza and package delivery.

Congratulations Willard CERT Trained Personnel!  Thank you to Sue and Glen Anderson and all the CERT Personnel for the refresher and training courses held the end of October and first week of November. Congratulations to the new members of the CERT Team. The training is 24 hours of information to help prepare individuals for survival during a disaster. If you missed the opportunity, another session will take place in the spring. Watch for more information in then.

WILLARD COMMUNITY HALLOWEEN PARTY (TRUNK OR TREAT) Thank you to Jennifer Johnson, and to all the volunteers who provided trunks, directed traffic, and cleaned up. Also a big thank you to all those who donated candy and money to make the event possible.  Hundreds of people were able to enjoy a safe evening for our children and thousands of pieces of candy and prizes were passed out!

IT’S ON THE WAY!!!!  It is hard to believe we already need to prepare for snow. Please make sure vehicles, trailers, landscaping rocks, debris piles, etc. are not in the City right-of-way. This is for the safety of our drivers and will also avoid damaging the City equipment and your property. If the snow cannot be pushed off the asphalt it melts across the road and freezes during the cold nighttime hours. This causes hazardous conditions for drivers and pedestrians.
