Dear Editor,

The top executive level of the National Rifle Association has had it quite easy during the last twenty five years.  No one has asked them any of the hard questions.

For a 501(c)3 Charitable organization that claims to provide gun safety and educational projects of benefit to the general public and reportedly benefit a variety of American constituencies, including youths, women, hunters, competitive shooters, gun collectors, law enforcement agents and persons with physical disabilities what impact have they had in your life?

When was the last time you saw a commercial about or for them on television or general cable?

I say ‘general cable’ because, apparently, they apparently have their own television station.

One idea they are airing on that channel is ‘Take Back the Truth’.  Have you lost truth in your life?

The executive level at the NRA is very comfortably well off.  The NRA used to be primarily engaged with sportsmanship, marksmanship and hunting.  Quality and reliability were the reality of the American gun scene.  That’s not the case right now.  Ever since the Vietnam War when cheap knock-off gun manufacturers realized they could hoodwink even government buyers by supplying our forces with defective M-16’s the problem has worsened.

The most recent example is the toylike AR-15.  It is a lightweight semi-automatic rifle.  It has had wide commercial success.  It is not a sport rifle nor a hunting rifle.  It is a machine gun.  It is preferred by Central and South American drug cartels (huge, billion dollar gangs).

                Sincerely,

Alfred Brock
