Utah Taxpayers Association Announces Selection of New Vice President
The Utah Taxpayers Association has named Billy Hesterman as its new vice president. Hesterman comes to the association from the Daily Herald in Provo, UT where he was working as the political reporter covering the Utah Legislature. His first day at the Association will be Tuesday Sept. 30.
“We are excited to have Billy Hesterman as the Association's newest vice president,” said Howard Stephenson, president of the Utah Taxpayers Association. ”Billy's unique combination of experience as a hard-nosed political reporter and his disarming, happy demeanor makes him an ideal representative for the Association.”
“The Taxpayers Association has long been Utah's leading organization promoting sound tax policy and a 21st century education system,” said Hesterman. “I look forward to the new and exciting challenges of helping improve Utah's tax, business and education systems.”
Hesterman has been working for the Daily Herald since 2011. Prior to that he worked for the Utah Senate as a communications assistant and also worked for various radio stations in Salt Lake City.
