When Eternity Comes First
I say let’s get eternity over with now so we can look forward to the future. Maybe even start enjoying the moment ...make the most of it because there are no guarantees for the future, and as for eternity, well, that’s just simply out of reach.
Out of sight, out of mind.
Sounds nuts, I know, like a shell game with time. Now you see it (the future) now you don’t. Where is it? Here and now, or so far out reaching into eternity that it doesn’t even matter?
If this sounds to you like a commentary on religion then so be it. I would prefer to call it a humorous look into the future, or so far into eternity that we are looking back around through the past right into the reflection of the back of our heads in history’s mirror.

Woody Allen had an interesting take on this concept, he said:
“In my next life I want to live life backwards. You start out dead and get that out of the way. Then you wake up in an old people’s home feeling better every day. You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, and then when you start work, you get a gold watch and a party on your first day. You work for 40 years until you’re young enough to enjoy retirement. You party, drink alcohol, and are generally promiscuous, then you are ready for high school. You then go to primary school, you become a kid, you play. You have no responsibilities, you become a baby until you are born. And then you spend your last 9 months floating in luxurious spa-like conditions with central heating and room service on tap, larger quarters every day and then Voila! You finish off as an organism!”

But seriously, if your religious beliefs have you so concerned with eternity that you find yourself dropping the ball here and now from time to time, don’t fret. It’s okay. Be assured that no one has all the correct answers. No one but you yourself. It’s already in you ...the past, present, future. You are the complete package of all time and eternity all wrapped up in your pudgy little, scrawny little, or extra large oafish body. Your time traveling vehicle. The past, present and future are inside you because you are an integral part of this whole great stellar scheme and voyage. An actual physical part of the universe in all of its endless time of no beginning and no end. You’re safe. Invincible. Immortal.
Science shows us that everything we are and everything in the universe, and on Earth, originated from stardust in its beginnings, perhaps at the “big bang” if that was the actual beginning, and it continually floats through us even today. It directly connects us to the universe, rebuilding our bodies over and again over our lifetimes.

If you’d stop and think things through you would intuitively always do the right thing because there is no wrong thing in the universe. It is incapable of being wrong. It’s all in perfect balance and you are an important part of that balance. During this time, even while you are reading this, you are a timeless traveler just passing through.
So, what does this all have to do with Donald Trump. Absolutely nothing. He too will pass ...like time, or like a good bowel movement jettisoned out into the universe, discovering then corrupting new civilizations, going, hopefully, where no man has gone before. God help them.
We know this scenario all too well. Our own 2020 Space Odyssey is coming up next year, right here in our own civilization, the one we call America. Unfortunately, Donald Trump landed here twisting, turning, ducking, bobbing, weaving and lying, from somewhere out in the endless time and space continuum and somehow, incredibly, ended up as our leader. “Leader of the free world.” Just think, when others come and say, “Take me to your leader” what on Earth do we do?! ...and can we do it with a straight face?
Voting may not be the true answer, because no one has the true answer, but its all we have. So, when voting, remember, the answer is in you to intuitively do the right thing. Think it through. Through time and space. Think of the next four years as an eternity because it will seem that way if America elects Donald Trump, President Goldfinger, again.
