June 13, 2019 the Perry City Mayor & Council passed a final budget for Fiscal Year 2020.  The budget includes the following projects and improvements:

Street Improvements at:

  • 385 W to 2235;
  •  2235 S,
  • 385W to 2300 S;
  • Hwy 89,
  • 1150 S to Canyon View Drive
  • Overlays and Maintenance in various locations 1200 West South Extension to Willard City (funded by a State TIF Grant)

 Corridor Preservation along 1200 West, Commerce Way & Maddox Lane for future roadways and improvements (funded by County Grant)

Park Improvements including:

  • Automatic locks on park restrooms
  • Savings for future parks equipment/improvements
  • Tree Maintenance

Gun Range Grant Projects

  • Storage Building
  • Short Range Pistol Venue
  •  Parking Improvements & Fencing 

Public Safety

First Responders

  • CPR Dummies & Radios

 Police Equipment including

  • radios,
  •  amplifier,
  • armor tools,
  •  tasers,
  • office equipment
  •  1 new patrol vehicle

 Administration & Community Development

Office equipment including

  • 3 new PCs,
  • Online Forms Kiosk
  •  Copier

Administrative Hearing Officer

Public Works Projects & Improvements:

  • Community Landfill Vouchers 
  • Water Meters including Spring Meter Installation
  •  Auto Meters
  •  SCADA System at Pointe Perry Lift Station
  • Increased sewer system cleaning to 3 year rotation
  • Wastewater Equipment Maintenance & Routine Replacement
  • New Vehicles (1) Wastewater (2)  Public Works
  • Compensation & Benefit Increases including market, performance and cost of living increases

Budgets amounts approved are as follows: General Fund: $5,132,506 

Utility Fund: $734,121         

Sewer Fund: $1,225,649

New Penalties on Late Utility Accounts

The City Council has approved a change regarding charges on late payments for utility billing.

Utility bills that are 30 days past due will now have a $10.00 late fee applied.

Utility bills that are 60 days past due will have a $20.00 late fee applied.

Utility bills that are 90 days past due will have a $30.00 late fee applied and will also be shut off.

In addition, if your water is shut off, there will be a $50.00 fee applied to get your water turned back on.
