With a style and talk show format similar to ‘Good Morning America’ written into an episode-based documentary series outlining President Trump’s first term in office, ‘Goodbye America‘ is my opinion commentary overview humorously (but not really) based on the President’s midterm performance and the demons & democrats he faces.

Trump’s proffered but questionable economic gains, his bluster & showmanship, and his “hate” mantra may play out politically for him, and play as a “sugar high” for his base in the short-term, but it won’t play out in the long run for the rest of America regarding serious national interests both on the domestic and world stage.

S 2 Ep 1: AOC KO’d by DMC

Although the Democratic firebrand junior congresswoman from New York, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, danced her way into the hearts and minds of her 14th congressional district constituents https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8p_r5iFSbNc she was quickly put in her place by Democratic House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi.  If youth is the hope of our future then let’s hope the wisdom of maturity sets in quickly.  AOC’s ‘Green New Deal’ bill is her first out-of-the blocks attempt at national television fame and stardom with a retro-historic mnemonic comparison to FDR’s 1933 ‘New Deal‘.  Pelosi formed a committee to study AOC’s bill proposal, but chose to omit AOC from the committee.  Slap back, youngster, mind your manners.  Meanwhile, playing her youth JD card once again, AOC is working hard to develop a national platform for herself but she has seemingly left her 14th district constituents behind not having established her district office yet.  Yes, power corrupts.  It’s true.  AOC appears to have all the answers, but it’s just her starry-eyed youthful exuberance doing the talking.  She’s been widely criticized and needs to be real careful, respectful, and aware of where she’s at on the court ...and she needs to show her voting constituents she cares about them and get that district office opened ...pronto!

The mid-term elections turned the tide for the Democrats, but many pundits looking closely at the left’s new leverage are seeing an advantage and a case argument for the GOP, and, God help us, Donald Trump, taking 2020 to another Republican White House.  They’re seeing a bunch of feisty, outspoken, idealistic, unexperienced kids exercising their new power.  They’re seeing emotion dangerously trump factual reason.  Calm down, kids!  President Trump is having a field day with this new group pointing out and taking political advantage of their greenness.

Not to be outdone by AOC, Michigan’s new 13th congressional district representative, Democrat Rashida Tlaib boldly announced regarding President Trump that, “We’re going to impeach the motherfu**er!”  Woha! ...Rashida, take a knee, honey.

S 2 Ep 2: The Wall

In 1982 Nancy Reagan’s anti-drug campaign, “Just Say No”, was widely criticized as being not based in reality.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aB4rVJsy8z8  It was a sincere, heartfelt message, a nice thought, but sadly, not the answer.

Today, President’s Trump’s answer to our continuing national drug crisis is to build a great wall between the United States and Mexico at a cost of around $8 Billion.  A little more expensive than just saying “No” but about as ineffective.  In fact, many experts are saying that the Wall will only increase the drug traffic because now whatever smaller drug dealers are coming over by breaching an un-walled border will find a way to access the more popular points of drug entry by making deals with the cartels who have already established those air, sea and land routes.

But here’s the real problem/phenomenon.  The United States is the primary customer for all these illegal drugs.  Maybe Trump should be looking at this side of the border to nip this in the bud.  Maybe he should dust off the “Just Say No” campaign, give it some teeth, and stop blaming the Mexicans and Colombians for servicing his U.S. market.

S 2 Ep 3: Kim, Cohen, Congress, Putin and George Jetson

First of all, I wish people, especially, the seemingly educated people ...news reporters and journalists, on-air news hosts, pundits, policy makers and “experts” would all learn to pronounce the word “Nuclear” correctly.  It’s easy.  It’s Nu-cle-ar not Nuk-ya-ler.  Recently, I heard Dan Coats, Director of National Intelligence, speak about nuclear proliferation and he kept saying nuk-ya-ler.  It made him sound un-intelligent.  He lost credibility.  Even President Trump says “Nuclear” correctly.

In 1962, there was an episode of ‘The Jetsons‘ featuring escaped cosmic convict “Knuckles Nuclear” and everyone, including George, pronounced his name correctly ...and that was a cartoon!  You’d think our Director of National Intelligence and the news people covering him would pronounce it correctly as well.  But I digress ...

Speaking of cartoons, what do Kim Jong-un, Dennis Rodman and Donald Trump have in common?  Apparently, cartoons.  They are all colorful empty cereal box cartoon characters who love to perform for the television cameras.  Meanwhile, I’m hearing the new 2020 candidates, mostly Democrats, tell how they are going to clean up Congress and the excess in Washington DC.  Are they kidding?

So, what do Michael Cohen, Vladimir Putin and Robert Mueller have in common?  They all know about the "pee tape" and they’re all having a hard time dealing with it.  Stay tuned.

Goodbye America ...it was nice knowing ya.  Maybe we’ll meet again some day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTZ91YtKLN4
