Willard City’s March News

The City has contracted with Val Kotter & Sons to complete required maintenance of the sewer system. They are inspecting the manholes, cleaning the lines and using a camera to locate any problems within the lines that need to be corrected. This maintenance is required for insurance purposes and critical to help avoid costly back-ups of the system. Many residents have easements across their property and have manholes located in those easements. Please make sure they are clear of debris and accessible for cleaning.  Residents you are responsible for the clean out located at or near the property line. Make sure it is protected if it is above ground level and make sure it is covered (covers are available at home improvement stores) to avoid debris from falling in and blocking the line, causing sewage to back up in your house. They should also be accessible in case you do have a blockage in the service line.
