South Willard: The owner, Joyce, of Soft Touch Floral in South Willard is “a one man band in business because I enjoy it.” While others have suggested she should expand her business, Joyce tells me that she does it as a good favor, producing quality work for your dollar. She likes to go above and beyond what people expect.
When asked what her signature for the arrangements is, Joyce answered, “I am always doing budget weddings. The others are Funeral flowers. The one casket spray is my creation called the ‘All Greens Casket Spray’ (No blooming flowers). It was designed with a deceased gentlemen in mind his wife said he was allergic to flowers! (How funny I thought, now would be the best time to give him all kinds of beautiful and fragrant flowers). This spray has been a very good seller; it’s unique, and very fun to build, no two are ever alike. I love doing custom work for funerals; it integrates the person’s personality into the floral arrangements. I believe that having beautiful funeral flowers is one of the last and final loving acts that a family can do for the person that they loved. And it's a goal of mine to make that happen.”
Her business has grown largely from word of mouth from satisfied clientele. She also does many of the arrangements for Gillies funeral home in Brigham City.
