The 12th annual Perry City yard sale will be held Saturday May 19th. Perry City will provide maps and advertising for this event. There is no charge for participating in the community-wide yard sale. Sales should begin at 8am and go to at least 12 noon. To add a location to the list of yard sales, call Tom Peterson at 435-723-3987 before May 17th.   Last year there were over 75 participants.

Re-announcing CERT training:  As of last night, there were only 2 people that showed up for recertification. With these people the only ones needing to be trained, they received the training they needed to be re-certified. There will not be any further classes held at this time.

The Easter Egg Hunt will be held on March 31st at 9:00 AM. If you want to participate, please bring a bag of small individually wrapped candy for each child to the City offices. Come a little early as it will start promptly at 9 AM.

Kindergarten Roundup:  Children who will be five years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2018, are about to start a wonderful and exciting adventure. At this time we are trying to locate incoming kindergarten students in the Willard/Perry communities. If you have a child eligible for kindergarten contact the school by calling 435-734-4934 or stop by the school located at 40 W 50 S in Willard between 9:00 am-3:00 pm. by March 30th to get on the list.

Last month Willard School did a fundraiser at The Body Shop Gym.  Kord Pixton, from the gym, said, ”When I was approached by Amber Morrill to help with this, I must admit I was a little skeptical. I mean, let's be honest. Candy bars and a gym membership are on two different levels of commitment. Well, I'm happy to announce that it was a success. Because of you, we are happy to announce that we will be giving Willard Elementary a check for $650! Most of that is from new member sign ups. BUT, I also had current members, who couldn't benefit from this promo, slip money under the office door to donate.  Because of the response we received, we have asked Willard Elementary if we could run this promo one more month. Friday we were given the ok to do so. So here it is. If you missed out on it the first time around, we will be running it again in March.  This is an awesome community. The people are kind, generous and really care about each other. We are proud to be a part of it. Thank you for welcoming us and supporting us.”

Before you burn your spring trimmings, you must first obtain a burn permit. There is no cost.
