Notice to Fill Midterm Vacancy in Municipal Office
In accordance with Utah Code 20A-1-510, notice is hereby given that Harrisville City will be accepting applications from qualified registered voters in Harrisville City who desire to be considered to fill a midterm vacancy on the City Council. The unexpired term of this midterm vacancy will expire on December 31, 2019. Qualifications for consideration are: be a United States Citizen, be a registered voter of the municipality, and be a resident of the municipality for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the appointment. Applications must be filed in person at the office of the City Recorder during regular office hours (Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-12pm) and not later than 5pm on February 14, 2018. Applicants will be interviewed and considered by the City Council during the regular meeting on February 27, 2018, at 7:00 pm at the Harrisville City Offices, 363 W. Independence Blvd, Harrisville, UT.
