The 20th Annual Safe Kids Fair presented by Utah Eye Centers and 97.1 ZHT is taking place at Mountain America Expo Center (formerly known as the South Towne Expo Center) located at 9575 State St, Sandy, UT 84070 on Saturday, February 24th from 9am-5pm. There is fun for the whole family including activities, entertainment, freebies, music and games! The best part - the event is FREE! Enjoy the many activities, including interacting with police K9s, playing in the playground, exploring the cool fire trucks and school buses, say hi to your favorite station personalities, ride around in the bike rodeo, take your picture with Marvel's Thor and much more! Based on the 1989 Disney film (and the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen), this musical features songs, old and new, that will submerge fans, young and old, into an exciting adventure under the sea.
Saturday, February 24: 90-Second Newbery Film Festival Screening at The Main Library (Salt Lake City Public Library System). Come discover the next Steven Spielberg at this celebration of young filmmakers! Kids all over the country from kindergarten through grade 12 were invited to create short film adaptations of Newberry Medal-winning books. Watch these classics reimagined with hilarious twists by national and local winners at this film festival hosted by award-winning authors for young readers. Walk-ins are welcome, or register for free to guarantee a seat!
