Governor to release legal review of adoption of Common Core standards
What:
Gov. Gary R. Herbert will release the results of the attorney general’s legal review of Utah’s adoption of the Common Core standards. The purpose of the review is to clarify state control of academic standards and local district and charter school control of the curriculum. The governor requested the review from the attorney general in July as part of an effort to resolve divisive issues in education.
