Bring the little owlets down to Tracy Aviary’s Halloween Hoot October 18th, 25th, and 31st from 1:00 to 3:00 pm each day. Take a stroll through Tracy Aviary's festively decorated grounds and you may stumble upon Emil the Owl with a bag of candy for kids of all ages! Watch a howling fun bird encounter and stay for story time in the Education Space. Go on a guided “mystery tour” of Tracy Aviary with a surprise ending! Let your creativity flow at crafts stations in the Chase Mill where you can paint a pumpkin, make an autumn-themed sun catcher, create your own pine cone bird feeders, and walk out with a fun bird mask to complete any costume. And what event would be complete without face painting? All activities are free with admission, and as an added bonus, anyone in costume will receive 50% off admission. And, back by popular demand, Tracy Aviary has expanded Halloween Hoot to include a straw maze all October long!
Generously sponsored by Smith's, Intermountain Farmers Association, Ching Farm Rescue & Sanctuary, Imagination Place, and Sweet's Candy Company; Halloween Hoot promises children the opportunity to have a fun and educational Halloween-themed experience in a safe environment. Kids and adults alike can actively learn interesting bird facts as they solve the mysteries of birds through a guided tour through many of the exhibits with a surprise ending. This offers parents peace knowing their children are filling their minds instead of just their candy buckets.
Don’t worry, the birds will have their fun, too, as there are pumpkins scattered throughout their exhibits. Guests can watch the sun conures disappear inside a carved pumpkin, and check out the full force of a southern ground hornbill's mighty beak pounding a solid pumpkin. It's all in the name of fun at this Halloween event that's fun, crafty, educational, and a great time for kids of all ages.
