Whitespace Art Gallery features "Invisible Things"
A exhibit focused on human invention, environment and progress through networks of industrial theme.
Featuring artists: Molly Morin & Stephen Wolochowicz
MOLLY MORIN uses traditional and digital methods to produce work that explores the difficult relationship between information and meaning. Her projects visualize data sets and prod at notions of accuracy and usefulness, while reflecting on the impact of information technology on daily life.
STEPHEN WOLOCHOWICZ's work is a commentary to our connectedness to a greater whole. Some parts evoke positive responses while others may not. However, they are all linked. Through viewer’s interaction with my ‘Parts’ I am attaching a human component to our industrialized system, or world. By this, I am suggesting we are linked to the unseen, unknown systems and aspects of our entire industrialized economy, regardless of our awareness.

Sundance Film Festival presents "Brooklyn"
Set on opposite sides of the Atlantic, John Crowley’s Brooklyn tells the profoundly moving story of Ellis Lacey, a young Irish immigrant navigating her way through 1950s Brooklyn. Lured by the promise of America, Ellis departs Ireland and the comfort of her mother’s home for the shores of New York City. The initial shackles of homesickness quickly diminish as a fresh romance sweeps Ellis into the intoxicating charm of love. But soon, her new vivacity is disrupted by her past, and Ellis must choose between two countries and the lives that exist within.
Based on Colm Toibin’s acclaimed novel, director Crowley and writer Nick Hornby craft a deeply effective, sweeping romance. The sumptuous filmmaking vividly depicts a rapidly progressing world. Surrounded by a stellar cast of supporting characters, Saoirse Ronan gives a captivating performance as the luminous Ellis. The heart of this highly accomplished work evokes a timeless portrait of leaving home and the excruciating decisions one must make.
