Whitespace Art Gallery features "Invisible Things"

A exhibit focused on human invention, environment and progress through networks of industrial theme.

Featuring artists: Molly Morin & Stephen Wolochowicz

MOLLY MORIN uses traditional and digital methods to produce work that explores the difficult relationship between information and meaning. Her projects visualize data sets and prod at notions of accuracy and usefulness, while reflecting on the impact of information technology on daily life.

STEPHEN WOLOCHOWICZ's work is a commentary to our connectedness to a greater whole. Some parts evoke positive responses while others may not. However, they are all linked. Through viewer’s interaction with my ‘Parts’ I am attaching a human component to our industrialized system, or world. By this, I am suggesting we are linked to the unseen, unknown systems and aspects of our entire industrialized economy, regardless of our awareness.

Sundance Film Festival presents "The Bronze"

In 2004, Hope Ann Greggory became an American hero after winning the bronze medal for the women's gymnastics team. Today, she's living in her father's basement in her small hometown—washed-up, largely forgotten, and embittered. Stuck in her past glory, Hope is forced to reassess her life when a promising young gymnast who idolizes her threatens her local celebrity status. Will she mentor the adoring, hopeful protégé, take her down, or both?

Director Bryan Buckley, whose short film Krug played at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, returns with his hilariously raunchy feature-film debut. Teaming with co-writer and lead actor of the film Melissa Rauch, they create a lovably loathsome character who makes Tonya Harding look like Grace Kelly. Featuring a star-making performance by Rauch, unforgettable scenes, and many quotable lines, The Bronze is comedy gold.

Actors - Melissa Rauch; Gary Cole; Thomas Middleditch; Sebastian Stan; Haley Lu Richardson; Cecily Strong

Sundance Film Festival presents "True Story"

On-the-rise New York Times Magazine writer Michael Finkel receives troubling news from his editors that he is accused of falsifying part of an investigative piece on child laborers in Africa. Jobless and disgraced, Michael retreats from the city and falls into a depression. One day, he hears startling news that a fugitive accused of murdering his family was captured in Mexico claiming the identity of “Michael Finkel of The New York Times.” Intrigued by the story, he travels to interview the accused, identified as Christian Longo, to help save his name.

Rupert Goold’s shrewd first feature pits Jonah Hill against James Franco in a psychological cat-and-mouse game obscured by many “truths.” As the two calculating men share their stories in private, their similarities become clear while their motivations are less so. David Kajganich scripts Finkel’s memoir into a subtle portrait of an unlikely friendship.

Actors - Jonah Hill; James Franco; Felicity Jones

Sundance Film Festival presents "I'll See You in My Dreams"

Carol is a retired schoolteacher and a longtime widow in her 70s. She enjoys a tranquil routine playing cards with close friends, keeping up her garden, and relaxing with a glass of wine. When her beloved dog dies, there’s a mournful vacuum that draws new experiences and attachments into her world. She forges a friendship with her pool guy and allows a pal to drag her to a speed dating shindig. And then there’s the gravelly-voiced, exuberant gentleman, Bill, who comes out of nowhere.

The authenticity and honesty coursing through every scene of I’ll See You in My Dreams perfectly echoes the point of view of its elderly characters, who have no more time for nonsense or pretension, even in the most awkward or emotional moments. The talented and vibrant supporting cast avoids clichés in favor of nuance and truthfulness. Blythe Danner was made to play Carol, a beautiful, understated woman resigned to existential realities but certainly not ruling out magic.

Actors - Blythe Danner; Martin Starr; Sam Elliott; Malin Akerman; June Squibb; Rhea Perlman
